Cinque Terre

I'll try and update later about my second day in Cinque Terre but this will be a quick overview and link to the photos.
So day 2 we woke up and trained to the 5th town to do the hike between all 5 towns. We had a delay in the middle that I'll talk about later but ultimately it worked out and though 4 of the guys didn't do it all Jared and I did. In fact after hiking from our town to the third town we did it reverse but this time running. Then kept running past the town and into the ocean. So I can now say I've swam in the Mediterranean. We also scaled a cliff wall to reach a cave that was some abandoned tunnel or building and illegally crossed train tracks. It was a pretty exciting day and I topped it all off with a silent stroll by the water that night. No one was out except a lone fisherman standing on some rocks across the inlet. It was such a relaxing way to spend an hour or so. Just me, the lapping waves, the dark, a warm breeze, soft light from the stars and a lone fisherman across the way. I sat and journaled for a bit and took a walk before heading back into town and falling asleep. That was the end of day 2 in Cinque Terre.

I'll update more later as stated but also wanted to let you know I headed out this morning around 11 and am now in Rome. I only plan to be here for a day (which I know is not enough time... but I'm running out of time). Sorry I didn't get this updated earlier and sorry this isn't a long post. Keep commenting everyone. It's nice to know who all reads this cause I have no other way of knowing. Miss you all and wish you could experience some of these wonderful things with me. Night!

I'm waiting to read the extended journal. The pictures are beautiful. Italy wasn't in my top 10 to visit, but I think I have definately added it to my travel wishes. I saw your mother at Day of Caring today, she enjoyed the pictures from Cinque Terre too.

Peace be with you as you continue to travel, Susan
